Master Key Generator Setup
Configure a master key system for supported pin-tumbler lock manufacturers. Start by selecting a manufacturer and pin count, then define or generate a TMK (top master key), a rotation pattern, and the desired master levels. Finally, generate and review the full hierarchy of master and change keys.
Quick Start
-
Select a Lock Manufacturer and valid Pin count.
-
Enter or generate a valid Master Key (TMK).
-
Enter or generate a valid Rotation string (digits 1,2,3… with 0 for constants).
-
Review or randomize the Key Bitting Array (KBA) if desired.
-
Choose a Level and click Generate Key System to see the hierarchy.

Step Increment:
Enter your master key bittings for this system or use the random master key generator to select one for you. The TMK must follow the selected manufacturer’s pin depth limits and MACS rules.
(Enter 0 Bittings)

Medeco keys use angled cuts (L=Left, C=Center, R=Right for LCR; K,M,B,D,Q,S for Bi-Axial). Enter one angle per chamber.

Enter a rotation order for this system. Use sequential numbers (1, 2, 3, ...) for rotating chambers and use 0 for constant chambers that never change between keys.
(Enter 0 Rotation Digits)

For removable core (IC) systems, the control key operates the core’s retaining lug. Enter a control key bitting that follows the manufacturer’s IC rules. This is optional but recommended for R-Core manufacturers.

The Key Bitting Array (KBA) shows the allowable change-key cuts under the current TMK for each chamber. You can randomize the order of these cuts to alter how change keys are distributed while still respecting manufacturer rules.
(Enter valid TMK and select Pins/Manufacturer to view KBA)
Select the level of master keys needed for this system. Higher levels create more tiers of master keys above the change keys. The option text shows how many master keys and change keys will be created.
