COVID-19 Updates (December 2021)

Current COVID-19 Protocol:


Effective September 30, 2021, The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regarding COVID-19 suspended it's optional tax credit for employers who paid their employees for COVID-19 quarantine or sickness.


In October, we verbally communicated this changed to our team.

This is a reminder of that information.


Any time off related to COVID-19 symptoms, isolation, quarantine or testing is treated the same as any other sickness from a time off perspective. You can opt to use your PTO or Non-PTO. This information is available on your Zenefits Portal.

From March 2020 - September 2021, We covered many weeks of salary to keep our team safe while honoring FMLA guidelines even when we didn't meet the minimum employment numbers.

Now it's everyone's turn to take responsibility. I strongly urge you to take health and safety precautions. We stand behind free choice and stand behind protecting our entire team. We do not want to unnecessarily expose anyone to a virus, so your vigilance in this matter is important. Please make sure you are protecting your PTO and creating a safe guard of savings in case you are impacted by the virus.
