Location number 2 is official!!!!

It’s been almost 3 years since we announced our intent to expand our operations into the Greenville, SC area!

This endeavor has been met with challenges, but if it was easy, everyone would be doing it!!!

Within the last month, an opportunity became available to acquire Ellis Bicycle Shop (yes, a Bicycle Shop) in Anderson, SC which is south of Greenville.

Ellis Bicycle Shop was founded in 1953 and have been in their retail location since 1990. They have a fine reputation of stability in the Anderson, SC and surrounding areas.

Although Bicycle is the name, Ellis’ primary products were locks and keys with a large number of MEDECO accounts.

With this acquisition we bring on customers like Clemson University, Bosch, and Owens Corning. It will also bring 2 new team members, Nan and Joe. Combined they bring nearly 30 years of experience.

Ellis is a self proclaimed old school lock shop and we are excited to bring what Loc-Doc Security offers to continue our quest of building something amazing.

This location at 615 E. River St. Anderson, SC will serve as the store for our Greenville endeavors. Josh and Michael will use this as their home base.

Ellis’ was owned and operated by Wayne and DeAnne Ellis. Wayne passed away recently from an unexpected stroke. DeAnne has been kind and generous in the transition and is allowing Loc-Doc Security to work alongside the business immediately as we officially take over operations on August 1, 2020.
