Technicians: Sending the Customer Portal/Payment Link

This document will outline the following topics for technicians:

  1. How to send the Payment and Customer Portal Links from Trackvia

  2. What the Customer Portal/Payment Link Email will look like

  4. How to access the Staff Portal



  1. The Customer Portal allows our customers to log into the portal (customer.locdoc.net) and see the line items, totals, and payment link for any completed jobs over the last 90 days that they have been added to as a contact. Just as with Payment Link, make sure all information and billing is correct before initiating this process. Make sure the appropriate contacts/emails are added to the Site Visit.

  2. On the Payment Information section of the Site Visit, simply check the “Customer Portal” checkbox and the “Send Payment/Portal Link” field will appear, where you can enter the email of the Customer. If the customer has opted to pay via Payment Link, you can check the “Payment Link” checkbox next to the “Customer Portal” checkbox. You will use the same field for both Portal and Payment Links. NOTE: Payment Link as a Payment Type will be removed once this update goes fully into effect, and the Payment Type will automatically be changed to Pending Payment when the Payment Link option is selected.

  3. Once you click Save, this will generate the email to send to the customer, and it will look like this:


  1. When the customer goes to the portal, they will be directed to log in and will see every Quote and Site Visit they are added to as a Contact.

  2. To learn more about logging in and navigating the Staff Portal, visit this page. The customer will go through the same process, except they will see only those Quotes and Site Visits associated with their email address. Reviewing this page is recommended should you need to answer any customer questions about logging in or accessing their site visits.
