OMS - Pro System Overview

Opening Management System - Pro was created by locksmith and security professionals for locksmith and security professionals. Loc-Doc Security uses this system to run it's many business ventures. The Lab at Loc-Doc Security also resells this system to other Locksmith and Security Integration companies. It is important when talking about OMS-Pro to have our terminology and lingo straight across the board. Following is a very high-level overview of the system and it's capabilities.


Highest Level Labels: These Acronyms get thrown around a lot.

  • CRM - Customer Relationship Management

OMS-Pro is designed to run every aspect of an organization, with a few key exceptions. HR and Accounting are handled using external systems. (QBO, Zenefits...)


Roles / Permissions / OMS-Pro Jobs - Each role gives users permissions to access different parts of OMS-Pro. For instance - Customer Service role has access to modules: CRM, Site Visits, Counter Tickets, etc...

  • Discussing OMS-Pro and TrackVia with Customers / End-Users - Get the facts straight.

    • OMS-Pro is an application built on a platform called TrackVia.

    • We use, resell, maintain, and support OMS-Pro, not TrackVia.

    • When referring to the Mobile App, Web App, or Tablet App - OMS-Pro (what we all use everyday to do our jobs), always call it OMS-Pro, not TrackVia, not TrackVia 2, not TV2 or anything other than OMS-Pro.

    • OMS and OMS-Pro are two totally different systems, OMS is not built using TrackVia.

    • TrackVia is a low-code platform.

    • TrackVia, and by extension OMS-Pro, is a cloud based application.
