Parts Spotlight: What is a Falcon "Rebuild Kit"?
Falcon makes several "kits" of replacement parts that are commonly used together. They are all often called "rebuild kits", but they are not all rebuild kits.
Rebuild Kit - A kit for replacing common parts that break
Cylinder Mounting Kit - A kit for converting an Exit only device to accept a cylinder.
Dogging Kit - A kit for replacing the Dogging Kit on a device
1. Falcon Exit Only devices DO NOT work with cylinders, therefore:
- If you need to quote/order a new Falcon device that will use a rim cylinder, make sure it is a
"NL/HB" instead of "EO".
- If you have an existing Exit Only device that needs a cylinder, you will need a "Cylinder Mounting
Assembly" We keep these in stock, and the part numbers for these kits are: 169CA(CVR), 179CA(Rim)
2. Falcon "Rebuild Kits" is a kit made specifically for a CVR device that includes the most common parts that break. The newest rebuild kit offered by Falcon is KIT.1156 (aluminum) or KIT.1157 (Dark Bronze). List of parts below:
