What Medeco Keyways do we sell?
Short Answer:
We currently sell 17 different Medeco keyways. There is a chart below that lists the details of each one, as well as a "blind code" to search for them in our product database.

FAQ:
Why do we have blind codes?
- Two reasons:
Security of Information - Our actual keyways are proprietary and confidential, and the blind code allows us to give a unique identifier to customers while keeping the actual keyway information internal.
Convenience - Many of our keyways are very similar (ex. DBV & DBQ). Through trial and error, we have found it is faster and more accurate to filter products down by our blind codes.
What is the "Restriction Level"?
- Medeco offers 3 levels of restriction to their keyways:
Dealer - These are owned by Loc-Doc, most of our customers use this keyway.
End User - These are owned by a customer, who gives permission to Loc-Doc to order.
Factory Restricted - These are owned by Medeco, and can only be ordered directly from the factory
How is the blind code assigned?
There are two parts to the blind code:
1. Technology
- DB3 = M3
- DBK = Biaxial
- X4 = Keymark X4
- KM = Keymark Original
2. A consecutive number showing in what order they were added to our database.
- Ex. (X4-1) is the first Keymark X4 keyway added to our database. (X4-2) would be the second.
