What is a Warranty part and a No Charge part?

Warranty and No Charge are options that can be applied to a line item for 2 different scenarios:

1. Warranty

A "Warranty" designation is intended for a product that has replaced a defective part, NOT for the returned part. If warranty is selected, the line item cost will become "0" (because the manufacturer/supplier has provided a free replacement) and the Customer Price also becomes "0".

Example: A Brivo panel goes bad within the warranty period. Brivo sends us a replacement panel. No cost to us, and no cost to the customer.

2. No Charge

A "No Charge" designation is intended for a product that is being provided at No Charge to the customer that is not under warranty. If "No Charge" is selected, the line item cost remains the same (because we still have to pay for the part), and the Customer Price becomes "0".

Example: Craig karate chops a Brivo panel in a fit of rage. We replace the panel. We pay for the panel, but we cannot charge the customer.

Do you have some documentation on the warranty versus no charge parts? Can you add it here?
