Core value review: https://locdoc.net/core-values/
Communication ties in with "Intentional Execution": we may execute something entirely perfectly, but if we don't communicate that to the customer then they'll be unlikely to have any way of knowing.
CHAD:
Each person makes hundreds of thousands of decisions a day - there are things we choose to do and things we choose not to do.
What are we choosing to not do?
Or, in the terms of our core values:
Not to communicate?
Not to share honestly?
Not to execute with refined quality?
What are you choosing not to do each day and what is the outcome of that?
Not to check your parts?
Not to check an order?
Not to keep your focus on the road when you drive?
Not to keep your van/jobsite/workspace clean?
When you choose not to do something, not to follow some process or procedure, it's intentional.
Think of all the people who are impacted down the line by each choice you make.
THOMAS:
How did you change the way you communicated this week?
We do not have a choice regarding this global pandemic. If Loc-Doc is going to continue to lead our industry, we have to change the way we communicate with our customers. We can't walk in and shake their hand anymore and still assure we're keeping ourselves and our families safe.
Adam just finished a big rekey project where he kept the customer updated via email on what he achieved each day and his goals for the next day. The customers were delighted and consistently left glowing feedback.
We should all be keeping our customers updated via email/text when they're not on the jobsite. Better communication will make us more successful; even when there are mistakes, if we've communicated well before, it always goes better after.
Weather alert: the temperatures this upcoming week are going to pretty consistently average in the 90s.
Stay hydrated!
Stay away from sugary drinks that may dehydrate you (like sodas).
You have more chance of getting hurt when it's hotter out: try not to rush to get out of the heat as it can lead to careless mistakes and injuries.
Zach has a cooler in his truck and the office fridge is being filled with waters. It's advised to keep a cooler in your work vehicle (let Thomas know if you don't have one on hand).
Now is not the time to go to the hospital!
Challenge: let's shoot for 100% video participation in next week's meeting.
