One Positive Thing: How are you showing Outrageous Kindness in your role at Loc-Doc, as a neighbor, or even as a stranger?

Focus on Solving Problems, not Selling Products

Thomas prepared some misleading customer problems and had volunteers demonstrate how Loc-Doc might interact with those customers. In a case where the technician heard the original description of the problem and assumed what the solution would be, it was revealed that there was a key detail missing which changed the entire situation.

The takeaway: even if the problem sounds simple, you should always ask at least three more questions than feel necessary. Customers don't know the same things you do, and may not be describing the problem that looks obvious to you.

Team Updates

  • Joe Williams will be retiring at the end of next week. He's looking forward to doing some traveling with his wife, Karen. He and Nan will be visiting the Charlotte office tomorrow, so if you see him at that time, make sure to congratulate him!

  • Lucas Ward has accepted a role at another company, and his last day at Loc-Doc will be this Friday, April 23rd. Lucas has made huge changes to this company in the past three and a half years, and we're very proud of his growth! Stay tuned for updates on how issues that Lucas has been handling directly will be routed through the App Dev team going forward.

  • On Monday, we will be joined by a new team member in the electronics team, Cameron Hurd.
