Monday, November 2nd Conference Call

*please note: after taking notes through the course of this conference call in a Notepad document, I accidentally stepped on the power strip my entire computer is plugged into and shut it down... I'm retyping the notes from memory, but if you notice that anything important has been omitted please don't hesitate to comment below or ask me to edit the original post with the missing information

CHAD

  • congratulations to Adam on his marriage and McDouglas on the birth of his child!

  • McDouglas will be out for a little while with his new baby

  • try to focus on the difference between "consistent communication" and "constant communication"

  • on a recent jobsite, errors were made because not all people affected by changes were kept in the loop

    • make sure that conversations that are being held involve everyone responsible for a job, or that everyone has access to the information discussed in those side conversations

    • leaving team members out of the loop can lead to serious issues on jobsites, frustrated customers, and unnecessary return trips

THOMAS

  • there are only two months left in 2020

  • for this Wednesday, let's focus on finishing the year right

  • What can we do to end 2020 and start 2021 in a better position than we thought we would be?

NATHAN

  • we didn't meet our October goal - only ended up with $170K for the month

  • some of the big projects that should have been closed out last month will be closed out early this month and should help us meet our goal this time

  • try to prevent return trips - something that takes you five minutes could save someone else an hour if it's done right the first time

  • be safe on jobsites

MIKE

  • we have a big door project starting Wednesday

  • there are a couple rekeys later in the week

  • this month we'll start another big project at a new building uptown (650 Tryon?)

  • if you need gloves or any other cold weather accessories, reach out to Thomas

ANDREW

  • access has a couple big projects that are scheduled for this week
